What lessons from the pandemic can schools and the education sector apply in the long term? How can school management and teachers prepare for future crises? And what lessons can be drawn for mainstream teaching? At the half-day closing conference of the 'Digitising educational practice' project, the research group will present key findings regarding these questions. Together with representatives from academia, schools and the education administration, it will discuss their significance for educational practice in Switzerland.
As part of a workshop, the researchers are presenting a usage model that can help schools draw up a contingency plan for teaching in the event of a future crisis. The model is based on the scientific findings obtained during the project.
During a 'Poster & Coffee Session', other research projects will present their findings on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on education and society and provide an opportunity for professional exchange.
The event will conclude with an interdisciplinary panel discussion on the topic 'Lessons learnt — tailoring teaching to pupils' needs in times of crisis'. The discussion will bring together perspectives from educational research, education administration and schools, as well as the views of pupils.
Following the event, all participants are invited to an apéro.
Attendance at the closing conference is free of charge and the number of participants is limited. The deadline for registration is 9 August 2026.
